Clean up your customer list
Fix phone numbers and merge duplicates. Your list never leaves your computer.
This page cleans your file inside your own web browser. Nothing in it is sent to me or anyone else: not names, not phone numbers, not emails. The only things sent are your own contact details, which you type in at the end, and how many rows your list had. You can even turn off your internet after this page loads, and the cleaning still works.
Have an Excel file? In Excel, choose File, then Save As, then CSV. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Download, then CSV.
What it fixes
| Problem | What the cleaner does |
|---|---|
| Phone numbers typed every which way | Puts every number in one format (+1 and ten digits) that any CRM or texting tool can import. |
| The same customer twice | Finds rows with the same phone or email, keeps one, and fills in anything it was missing from the other. |
| Names in ALL CAPS or all lowercase | Fixes them to normal names. Names already typed with care, like McDonald, are left alone. |
| One "Name" column | Splits it into first and last name, so your texts can say "Hi Sam". |
| Numbers and emails that can't work | Pulls them out into a second file so you can fix them by hand. |
Why a clean list matters
Your past customers are the easiest jobs you'll ever book. They already know you. But a messy list means texts that bounce, people who get the same message twice, and messages that start with "Hi JOHN SMITH". A clean list is step one of any campaign to bring old customers back.
Most CRMs and job software have an Export button on the customer list page. If yours makes it hard to get your list out, that's a sign of its own. Your customer list should always be yours.
What happens after
You get two files: your clean list, and a short list of rows that need a look. I get your name and number and how big your list was, nothing else. I may reach out to ask if you'd like me to run a campaign to your past customers. No pressure.
